SCHOOL PSYCHOLOGISTS
SPG’s school psychologists provide comprehensive services to our partnering districts, including:
- Psychoeducational assessments conducted in accordance with state and federal guidelines
- Consultative support to administrators, parents, students, and other school-based personnel
- Counseling to students
- Independent Educational Evaluations
- Professional development trainings for school psychologists, teachers, speech-language pathologists, behaviorists, occupational therapists, and other school-based staff
MENTAL HEALTH PROFESSIONALS
SPG’s mental health professionals provide evidence-based interventions, such as cognitive behavior therapy as it is a natural complement to the principles of Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) used in our behavior intervention process. Mental health professionals (primarily LMFTs and/or LCSWs) coordinate these services, working closely with administrations, teachers, case managers, BCBAs, RBTs, classroom aides and other staff to effectively meet each student’s individual needs.
Mental Health Services Include:
- Counseling and Guidance (CG) services in an IEP for individuals, and groups, as well as families and guardians
- School-wide, in-home, and wrap-around services
- Case management and support for those at risk of out-of-home/out-of-state placement
- Psychological evaluations
- Extended day programs
- Classroom management
- Community-based and social supports collaboration
- Coping skill development and emotional resilience
- Crisis assessment and intervention
- Social skills development and social-emotional instruction and/or training
