She began her career working with adults in skilled nursing facilities and later went on to work in early intervention, providing in-home speech and language therapy services to the birth to three population. For the last six years Anna has worked in the school setting, providing services to a large percentage of English Language Learners, along with supervising a number of clinical fellows. She currently provides clinical support and supervision to school-based SLPs and SLPAs throughout the Contra Costa area.

Director of School Services – Speech and LanguageJennifer received her Master of Science degree in Speech-Language Pathology from California State University- East Bay in 1999. She has experience working with a diverse population of children and adults across medical, school and private settings. Jennifer has worked extensively with early intervention; incorporating in-home services with parent/caregiver education. She has worked with children from 18 months to 18 years of age. Jennifer has consulted with many schools on assessments, teacher trainings and classroom-based therapy services. She has experience treating a wide range of communicative disorders including, Autism Spectrum Disorder, social pragmatics, articulation, receptive and expressive language delays, motor speech disorders, fluency and speech and language issues associated with Down Syndrome Disorder. Jennifer has taken continued education courses in PECS, Social Thinking Curriculum, and Hanen Centre based language development. Currently, Jennifer provides therapy and assessment services in the public schools as well as offers clinical support to SLPs in schools throughout the East Bay.

Director of Remote ServicesMengting received her Master of Arts in Speech-Language Pathology from Northwestern University in Evanston, IL. She has experience throughout Chicago, the Bay Area, and internationally working with children and adults who have speech and language disorders in both the public schools and private settings. Mengting has worked extensively with treatment and assessment of a variety of disorders including articulation, social pragmatics, language delays, and Autism Spectrum Disorders. She has been a Clinical Consultant with Hope’s Promise since 2008, traveling with teams to Kenya and Vietnam to provide intervention and training as well as ongoing remote consultation. She has also been active in collaborating with medical teams in Taiwan to provide training on dysphagia intervention for the Mennonite Christian Hospital in Hualien, Taiwan. Mengting has previously served as a Clinical Supervisor for California State University, East Bay and as the Founding Clinical Supervisor for PresenceLearning.

For the last thirteen years Natalie has worked in the school setting, providing services to a variety of populations from preschool through adult transition. Areas of special interest include articulation/phonology, language, Autism Spectrum Disorder, and supporting transitions for the 18-22 years of age population. She currently provides CF supervision, clinical support and supervision to school-based SLPs and SLPAs throughout the Sacramento and Yolo areas.

Director of School Services – Speech and LanguageMaret is a graduate of St. Olaf College and received a Master of Arts degree in Speech and Language Pathology from the University of Minnesota. During graduate school, Maret completed an emphasis in Bilingual/Multicultural issues in Speech-Language Pathology. She is Spanish-English bilingual and specializes in assessment and treatment of bilingual children, and those coming from various cultural and linguistic backgrounds. Maret is an advocate for use of alternative assessment means in order to differentiate language disorders from language differences. Currently, Maret conducts bilingual assessments in the public schools and provides clinical supervision and support to school-based SLPs.

Clinical SupervisorKimberly is a graduate of the University of Pennsylvania and received a Master of Science in Communication Disorders from Nova Southeastern University in Florida. She began her career as a travelling Speech Pathologist working primarily with adults in skilled nursing facilities throughout Florida for two years. For the past 12 years Kimberly has worked extensively with pediatrics in a variety of settings including public schools, preschools, early intervention centers, children’s hospitals, and home health care in Northern and Southern California. She has specialized in articulation/phonological disorders, language delays/disorders, social pragmatics, autism spectrum disorders, and traumatic brain injury. She currently provides clinical supervision and management of SLPs and SLPAs in school-based settings in Orange County.

She has over 16 years of experience working in schools with children aged 3 through 13 years. Andrea has worked with students with a wide range of impairments including Autism, intellectual disability, and speech and language impairment. She has supervised several interns, Clinical Fellows, and Speech-Language Pathology Assistants. Andrea is currently providing clinical support and supervision to SLPs and SLPAs in the Mount Diablo Unified School District as well as conducting assessments for incoming preschool students.

She has clinical interests in child and adolescent language, pragmatics, and fluency. In addition to serving as a school-based clinician, Janna concurrently acted as the lead SLP for several years. She is passionate about advocating for appropriate working conditions, caseloads, and resources for SLPs and SLPAs. Janna truly enjoys acting as a support to the clinicians she works alongside. Currently, she is conducting school-based assessments for K-12, while also helping to provide clinical support to the southern California region.

Clinical SupervisorGretchen earned an undergraduate degree in Communication Sciences and Disorders at the University of Washington, and her Master’s of Science degree in Speech-Language Pathology at the University of Arizona. She started her career working primarily with adults in a rehabilitation hospital setting before transitioning to school-based services, where she has served on assessment teams and supported students with a range of communication disorders. She has also worked with Deaf and Hard of Hearing students and is passionate about prevention of language deprivation syndrome through early access to a natural language. Gretchen currently provides clinical support and supervision to Clinical Fellows, remote-based SLPs, and in-person SLPs working in Bay Area school districts.

Brianna has extensive experience working with children with a variety of communicative disorders. Currently, she provides therapy to multicultural and linguistically diverse children all throughout the Bay Area. She conducts IEEs as well as oversees SPG school-based clinicians. Brianna supervises SLP graduate student interns, clinical fellows, and SLPAs. She has a deep passion for supporting fellow SLPs as well as helping children communicate and interact with others and the world around them.

Jenna has worked in the public schools with students from preschool through adult transition ages and with a wide range of communication needs (general education/low support needs through medically complex/high support needs). She has a special place in her heart for secondary students and for working with adults with acquired brain injury. Jenna is a Natural Language Acquisition Practitioner and appreciates being part of a field that values continued education and learning. Clinical SupervisorAs the Clinical Supervisor for the San Diego County area, Anne provides clinical support to SLPs and SLPAs as well as Clinical Fellowship (CF) supervision. She received her Masters of Science degree in Speech-Language Pathology at University of North Dakota in 2000. Anne has worked with young children and students from birth to 22 years of age with a variety of speech and language needs. She has provided in-home, clinic-based, and school-based therapy. Anne has worked in Minnesota, Canada, Northern and Southern California. She has experience working with articulation/phonological disorders, language delays/disorders, stuttering, social/pragmatic skills, Autism, and AAC. Anne has always enjoyed collaborating with teachers, therapists, parents, and students to provide for the individual needs of her students. Providing clinical supervision and mentorship has broadened her skills with collaboration and teaching. As a Clinical Supervisor, Anne has found it very rewarding to see people grow in their profession.

Kristin received her undergraduate degree in Communication Disorders from the University of Oregon, followed by a master’s degree from Lehman College in the Bronx, NY. In search of more Augmentative and Alternative Communication (AAC) expertise, Kristin headed to California and joined SPG’s AAC Mentorship Program. There, she expanded her knowledge and skills, becoming proficient in many of the AAC tools and techniques used to support our complex communicators.
Kristin’s true passion lies in training teachers, SLPs, and families on AAC tools, helping to support students and children to express themselves. Her dedication led her to become an AAC Specialist for a local School District, where she continues to transform lives through effective AAC implementation. Director of School Services – Behavior InterventionKathryn received her Master’s Degree in Special Education from Peabody College at Vanderbilt University. She holds an Education Specialist Instruction Credential and is a Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA). Before joining SPG, Kathryn provided applied behavior analytic services as a middle school teacher and district-wide behavior specialist in Tennessee. In addition, Kathryn taught graduate-level coursework in special education at the University of Kansas and supported professional learning series to train school-based teams to design, implement, and evaluate functional assessment-based interventions for students. Kathryn has co-authored peer-reviewed articles and book chapters related to classroom management strategies, systematic screening, and schools’ use of tiered interventions to support students’ academic, behavioral, and social development. Kathryn currently provides clinical mentorship and support to BCBAs and supervises trainees pursuing certification.

Prior to joining SPG, Dale worked in school settings providing classroom consultation and oversight of behavioral programming. He also served as the director of a non-public school for 6 years. His particular interests include providing tier-based interventions to support students’ behavioral and social development along with use of behavioral strategies to help students succeed in school.

She is also certified in American Sign Language and Organizational Behavior Management. Until recently, much of Meghan’s work has focused on providing intensive behavioral services to children in the home setting, as well training families and staff, and overseeing a small group of Behavior Analysts at a private ABA company. She has transitioned to working in school settings to help support and train educators and behavior technicians in providing the most effective behavioral strategies to help students thrive in their educational settings.

Since becoming Board Certified in 2006, DeAnna has overseen behavioral programming in non-public schools, provided extensive training and consultation to large groups of special educators, has supported intensive in-home programs, and spent 10 years mentoring and supervising a large group of Behavior Analysts within a private ABA Company. DeAnna is passionate about helping students learn in the least restrictive environment and also supporting special educators and behavior technicians with developing an understanding of behavior so they may be more successful in their work.

Senior Clinical SupervisorStefanie has worked in the field of behavior analysis since 2007, beginning as an in-home behavior technician and then as a school behavior technician. Stefanie received a Bachelor’s Degree in Speech and Hearing Science with a minor in Disability Studies from The Ohio State University, and a Master’s Degree in Professional Behavior Analysis from Florida Institute of Technology. Stefanie developed and conducted comprehensive training for Registered Behavior Technicians. She has worked in a variety of settings, including homes, treatment centers, schools, group homes, and community programs. Stefanie believes that effective behavior change is achieved when practitioners work closely with all team members and design practical interventions conducive to the settings they will be implemented. Stefanie has worked with a variety of clients and diagnoses, ages 2 to 86, and strives to incorporate clients’ input and values in treatment whenever possible.

She has worked in Applied Behavior Analysis since 2013, starting as a paraprofessional for an autism inclusion program in Oakland, CA. She received her M.Ed. in Curriculum and Instruction with an ABA focus from Arizona State University in 2017. Sarah has worked across various settings, providing supervision for in-home ABA services, center-based early learner programs, and social skills groups for children, teens, and young adults incorporating Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT). Sarah completed an ACT Bootcamp in Toronto in January 2020, which inspired her to continue learning about and sharing applications for ACT in the field. Since joining SPG in January 2020, Sarah has provided behavioral consultation in schools and RBT supervision. Director of School Services – Occupational TherapyMegan has been a practicing OT for 35 years, is the SPG OT Director, and serves students in Marin public schools. Before becoming an OT, she studied public health and worked in grant writing. Megan received her Master’s of Science degree in Occupational Therapy from San Jose State University and, during graduate school, focused on pediatric neurodevelopment and sensory integration. Megan received a fellowship from a joint UNC-Chapel Hill/Duke University program with further pediatric studies and research opportunities. She is passionate about healthcare justice and has worked with underserved populations in urban and rural areas. She worked in early intervention, pediatric clinics, and private practice before landing in school-based practice 25 years ago. Megan thrives on her work with children and youths. She loves her position’s variety, the interprofessional collaboration, and the challenge of determining the most creative and practical ways to serve students within their school environment. Megan also trains, mentors, and supports OTs working in school-based practice.

She is a graduate of UC Santa Barbara and received her Doctorate in Physical Therapy from the University of the Pacific. Lisa has worked with children in a variety of settings including schools, Early Intervention programs, clinics, and hospitals. She is especially interested in promoting equity for students from diverse backgrounds. As a Certified Clinical Instructor, Lisa enjoys supporting Physical Therapy students and graduates as they begin their careers. Currently, Lisa can be found treating preschool through adult students in the Contra Costa region and supervising Physical Therapists across the Bay Area. When she is not working, Lisa enjoys spending time with her husband and 2 children, especially while hiking, camping and traveling.

Kristen has been a physical therapist in the Bay Area for 30 plus years. After graduating from ASU with a BA degree in Recreation Therapy with an emphasis in Special Populations she pursued a second degree at UCSF graduating with a BS in Physical Therapy. Her love of movement, human development, and her playful spirit, led her directly into pediatrics. Kristen has worked in early intervention and in school systems and outpatient clinics before opening a private practice treating infants through adults. Developing handling skills and using a wide range of manual therapies has been at the forefront of her work with postgraduate studies in traditional and alternative approaches, equipment design and adaptation, casting, and pediatric kinesiology taping.
Kristen is a strong leader and mentor sharing her knowledge of therapeutic intervention and the role of physical therapy across a variety of settings. She is currently providing clinical support and supervision to Pediatric PTs throughout the Bay Area. Kristen is a member of the APTA Pediatric section, Association of Pediatric Therapists, and International Alliance of Healthcare Practitioners.

Clinical Supervisor of School PsychologistsJenn has worked in the field of School Psychology for nearly 10 years. Her involvement and passion for School Psychology started when she was in college through a volunteer opportunity to work with a school psychologist teaching middle school students emotional intelligence. Jenn was born and raised in upstate New York and graduated with her Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from Siena College then received her Masters in Educational Psychology with a Certificate of Advanced Studies in School Psychology from The College of Saint Rose. Upon graduating, she obtained her National School Psychology Certification and moved to San Francisco to pursue a career as a School Psychologist.
Jenn has experience working with students of all ages, grade-levels and cultural and linguistic backgrounds conducting psychoeducational evaluations, providing school-based counseling services and consultation with parents and teachers. She also has experience as an intern supervisor and enjoyed the opportunity to mentor others and support them in building the confidence to find success in the complex and rewarding career as a school psychologist. Jenn joined SPG in July 2021 where she has spent the past two years working in Oakland Unified School District conducting comprehensive psychoeducational evaluations for students of all ages in non-public and private school settings. Jenn is a Licensed Educational Psychologist and outside of her time with SPG she supports young adults with ADHD, Autism and Anxiety build the necessary skills to be successful in their college and career endeavors. Jenn has a passion for working with individuals with Autism and supporting students and families with understanding the complex connections between Autism and mental health.

Amy is a Licensed Educational Psychologist and has experience working with all age and grade levels in conducting psycho-educational assessments, providing school-based counseling services, and consultation to parents and teachers in a variety of settings including large public school districts, private, and non-public schools. Amy is also trained in behavioral analysis and intervention. Amy is passionate about her role, particularly in mentoring, training, and collaborating with others and in her desire to serve children and families.

Angela has worked in the field of Special Education for nearly 26 years. Her involvement and passion for Special Education started when she was a young girl. Angela’s first language is sign language, which allowed her to interpret for her mother in numerous IEPs and meetings for her brother who has a diagnosis of Autism, ID and ADHD. Angela become a classroom aide in a non-public school setting and fell in love with the field of Applied Behavior Analysis as she finished her undergraduate degree in Child and Adolescent Development at San Diego State University. She then obtained her Master’s in Special Education at California State Sacramento. Prior to joining SPG in 2021, she provided operational oversight and leadership to nine non-public schools in the Bay Area. Over the years, Angela has supervised and supported numerous teachers, classroom aides and related services providers in caseload management, IEP services and curriculum and instructional support. Angela has a passion for collaborating with teams, supporting families through the IEP process and helping students succeed.

Clinical SupervisorDiane has over 15 years of experience in education ranging from TK to high school and is proud to be part of a community that supports and builds services for educational needs. Her experiences include teaching at international schools in China and Vietnam. More recently Diane has worked as a public middle school administrator and program specialist. She earned her Master’s Degree in Special Education and holds multiple credentials including: Mild/ Moderate Education Specialist, Multiple Subject K-8, and Administrative Service Credential. Diane is passionate about Special Education and collaborating with schools to create programs and services to support students. Diane enjoys spending time with her family and children and creating memories with them. They like to be on or near the water, go camping, and hangout with cousins.

Clinical Supervisor – EducationCandice has worked in the field of Special Education since 2005. She completed her undergraduate degree in Psychology and Child Development, and earned her masters degree in Education with a concentration in Special Education and Behavioral Analysis. Prior to joining the SPG Community, Candice led a Non-Public School program as the School Director. She oversaw the school’s Instructional and Behavioral Programs, providing professional development trainings, supervision, and consultation. Candice is an advocate for staff success and development, and has encouraged and mentored a number of educators advancing in their own professional careers. In her administrative role, Candice has developed strong, positive partnerships with local school districts and worked collaboratively with a variety of professional agencies. Candice is passionate about providing equal educational opportunities for all learners and is a dedicated advocate to the students and families that she supports.

Angela has worked in the field of Special Education for nearly 26 years. Her involvement and passion for Special Education started when she was a young girl. Angela’s first language is sign language, which allowed her to interpret for her mother in numerous IEPs and meetings for her brother who has a diagnosis of Autism, ID and ADHD. Angela become a classroom aide in a non-public school setting and fell in love with the field of Applied Behavior Analysis as she finished her undergraduate degree in Child and Adolescent Development at San Diego State University. She then obtained her Master’s in Special Education at California State Sacramento. Prior to joining SPG in 2021, she provided operational oversight and leadership to nine non-public schools in the Bay Area. Over the years, Angela has supervised and supported numerous teachers, classroom aides and related services providers in caseload management, IEP services and curriculum and instructional support. Angela has a passion for collaborating with teams, supporting families through the IEP process and helping students succeed.

Clinical SupervisorBowra graduated from John F. Kennedy In 2015 with a Master’s in Clinical Psychology. Shortly after she began her career working with Antioch Unified School District as a school therapist in the special education department, where she gained six years of experience working with students with IEPs and 504 plans. Once licensed, Bowra pursued certification as a Clinical Supervisor which has allowed her to supervise associates and support them in their careers in school settings. She takes great pleasure in mentoring students and assisting mental health professionals and school teams to ensure they are most successful in their work.
